Snowstorm Time Lapse

With the largest snowstorm in six weeks approaching the area 🙂 I decided to try an intervalometer experiment to make a time lapse film. My cousin introduced me to the concept a few years ago, but this is my first stab at it.

Starting at 9:30AM on Friday February 5, I set my Nikon D200 to take an exposure every 30 seconds while being pointed out my front window. I wanted to capture the falling snow, the traffic outside, and the eventual dig out. Overall, I think it worked pretty well! Although, I wish that I was able to get a better view of how many inches fell, and how high the snow pile was in front of our house after the many sessions of digging out our parking spaces and sidewalks. I hope you enjoy my little project! It helped to stave off the cabin fever.

Did you do any photo or video projects during the snowstorm? Maybe you had a similar experience with weather this winter. If you have any suggestions for me to set up for the next time, please let me know!

Thanks, Joven! It’s nice to look back on these days from the comfort of Spring.
