2016 USA Dance Expiring

Today the photos of the 2016 USA Dance expiring at the TimeLine Media proofing site! Previously, I posted about the new method we had for identifying subjects. Indeed, we had some great feedback on getting more keepers for the dancers that wanted them.

USA Dance NQE

Obviously you want to dance well at any competition. However, this was also a National Qualifying Event. When you dance well here, you may earn qualification for the USA Dance National Championships. Thus, the dance floor was full for most of the weekend. As a result, it was a combination of fun dancing, and serious competition from the dancers.

Thanks to Jack Reinhold from the USA Dance Mid-Easter Chapter for inviting me and my team. The Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center was a high end backdrop for this event. Obviously they needed a good team to pull off such a large event smoothly.

Photo Event Updates

There are two big deadlines to the proofing website that I want to post here. Today is the last day for you to view and purchase photos from the USA Dance 2014 Mid-Atlantic Championships. This was the first big ballroom dance event that we covered this year. Moreover it was a great success for both the dancers, and for us as photographers! The web server has been very busy sending out images from this event since February’s release, to last weekend. After today, the photos will be removed from the server to make room for new events. The other deadline for today is the ending early-bird sale for the DC Area Arthur Murray 2014 Spring Showcase. There were some great routines in both the Smooth and Rhythm rooms, and we have photos from each of them at the website. There have been a few of you that have been designing albums from this event combining them with photos from the Spring Freestyles. If you did not know already, we can make albums of your photos, and you can use any image from events that we cover to be added to the book! Here is the link to the images from this event:

Thanks to everyone that has visited the website this year to view their images! It has been fun to see them going around the social networks. We try our best to have the best ballroom dance photos, and we love to see such nice comments when posted online. Please pass along the links to the events to any of your friends that attended and have not yet seen their images. I really would like people to at least see all their hard work that they put into dance preserved in our collections. USA Dance Mid-Atlantic Championships Expiring

Expiring in one week – the photos from the USA Dance Mid-Atlantic Championships photos. They were originally supposed to expire today, but I because it slipped on my schedule, I had the web service extend the deadline until next Monday. I want to give lots of notice to you before they are removed since it is harder to get to them once they go to the archives. I am posting some of the images from this event since it has been a while since I have gone back to look at them. It does not seem like that long ago for this event, but it is time to make more room for other images on the website. This is the reason I need to move out these events after a few months.

USA Dance Expiring

If you visited the website already and ordered some of your favorites – thank you for supporting our photography! My team of photographers really worked hard to cover this 2 day event. We covered all the heats, and tried our best to capture everyone that competed. It was nice to see many familiar faces!

The organizers, judges, and dancers were having fun catching up with us, and viewing their previews at our booth. It adds to the fun when we recognize many of you on the dance floor.
