Baltimore Dancesport Challenge – Judges

I am still going through the photos from last Saturday’s Baltimore Dancesport Challenge. At this time, I am editing for color, cropping, and converting files for uploading. I still plan to have these up by Saturday but stay tuned for updates! In the meantime, here are some images of the judges and other staff that helped to make the event happen. Enjoy!

UPDATE! The photos are now ready to view at the TimeLine Media proofing site. Similarly to other events we have covered, all the photos have been sorted by numbers worn by gentlemen during competitive heats. Of course, we may have made some mistakes, so let me know if there are any misfield. Additionally, let me know if you have any trouble finding your photos! We know how hard you worked to prepare for this event. Not to mention, we recognize that it is not every week that you dance on a competition floor for the judges. For that reason, I want to make sure you have a chance to see the results of your efforts!

Arthur Murray Spring Freestyles

It’s Arthur Murray Freestyles week! This Friday and Saturday, the DC Area Arthur Murray dance studios will be hosting their first ballroom dance event of 2013 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The event will include two days of dancing as well as a team match pitting Maryland vs. Virginia on Saturday afternoon. These are some of the most unique photos we take in the ballroom! Crazy costumes, people whipped into a frenzy putting on their best moves to claim the Potomac Cup. I will surely have some of these images for you next week as I go through the edits.

Just to update you on the photos at the proofing website, the photos from the 2012 DC Dance Challenge are expiring today. This week, I am editing photos from the 2013 Baltimore DanceSport Challenge, and plan to have these up by Saturday. More updates will be posted either on the blog, or at the Facebook page.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Since there are so many photos going up, coming down, in progress, I know it can be a lot to manage. However, I do have a good handle on where everything is, and will help anyone if they need. Thank you!

Baltimore Dancesport Challenge – Awards

It was a great day of dancing yesterday at the Baltimore Dancesport Challenge! Of course there were lots of awards given out. At this time, I wanted to post all the lineups that were done during the event. Thanks to the organizers, volunteers, teachers, and dancers for helping to make some awesome images. Top Student Awards

Marielle handed out all the awards at this time for the top performers from the competition. In light of the months of preparation for an event of this kind, it is satisfying to bring home some hardware to mark the occasion. For this reason, these are important images to make. Perhaps this is an important step on your dance journey that encourages you to reach the next level.
