This weekend is the 2013 New Jersey State Open! We are excited about going back to Atlantic City to cover this event. The organizers have run a smooth competition over the 3 years we have photographed the dancers that have competed there. Each year, there is a growth in the amount of entries and this year is the largest one yet! Dancing will start at 7AM on both Friday and Saturday. So it will be an earlier start than expected for everyone attending.
Please come introduce yourself to us at the photography table. If you will be doing any special choreography, let me know so that I can be sure to look out for the best angle to capture it. I will be looking out over everyone on the floor, but will be more aware if you let me know of anything special. I may be able to help you get the best angle by telling you where my lights will be setup for the best look.
On Saturday evening, there will be more than just professional competition on the floor. There will be some other entertainers performing for the audience, and I think you will enjoy what the organizers have planned. Last year, a juggler and rhythm gymnast also performed in between the pro heats, and they were received well by guests. Come see the action this weekend!
