2017 Fantasy Ball photos Expiring

The photos from the 2017 Fantasy Ball Dancesport Competition are expiring! After Monday, they will move them to the archive. Being that we had not been at this event before, we really appreciate all the support! Before archiving, the photos will be here:

Now that we have covered events since then, I really like these from the Fantasy Ball. Garry Gekhman elevated the lighting in the ballroom to emphasize the dancefloor. When adding my flashes, the background was so colorful for the dancers.

Professional Show

After the awards were given out, Inga Demetryan and Vard Margaryan danced a professional show. In summary, these two were really enjoyable to photograph! Seeing that Garry is also a coach to professionals, it would make sense that he would invite an amazing couple to dance the finale.

When we were photographing the show, Bryony let me know a fun fact. Vard was a fan of TimeLine Media from a long time ago! Following a professional competition, he wanted to purchase a photo from the slideshow of his dancing. Of course we accommodated him, and he used the image for a few years afterwards.

Staff Shows

After dancing most of the student routines, Carlos danced most of Act 3. How he remembers all of the technical intricacies of these varied numbers is a testament to his talent! At least the emcee does try to give him a break in between some routines.

With this in mind, the staff show displayed the talents of all of the professionals. Following the Showcase, I can see students gathering ideas for their future lessons. Since it is only a few months until the Summer Showcase, they will be working on their next routines soon! In addition working on routines is helpful for competition loops.

2017 Destin Open photos Expiring

Photos from the 2017 Destin Open are expiring at the TimeLine Media proofing site on Monday, April 23. Looking back, we really enjoyed our trip to Destin! Tom was an incredible host. Not only did he include us with the meals for guests, but we even went to the concert that finished the event! In order to make more room for upcoming spring events, this event will be moved to the archive. While they are still available, here is the link:

Sandestin Resort

In addition to a beautiful ballroom, the surrounding resort was a nice destination. Especially during the late autumn for this event, the weather was great for a road trip. All in all, the Gulf Coast did not disappoint. Between sessions, there was time to explore the beaches, and the nature trails of the neighborhood. With Tom being a great host, you will not be disappointed coming to participate in this event!
