Editing photos – Mid-Atlantic Championships

Here is where I will be all day editing photos. Still working through the images from the weekend – they are looking great so far! They will be uploaded to the proofing site by this weekend. In addition to the editing to make sure they look their best; I am sorting them as well. There are a lot of numbers to go through thus it will add some time to finishing.

As soon as they are available, I will send out a notification on the email list. At this time, you can go to the proofing site and add your email address there to get that note. Additionally, I will post it on the TimeLine Media Facebook page, and my Twitter feed. In reality, I am not as familiar with these tools to know which is the most effective.

Can you let me know how you prefer to hear? I know that editing photos usually happens in the background. So, I like to give updates even when they are not completely finished. Obviously, I want to have these finished so that you can see them. Photographers love to share their work!

Overall, there were so many Championships that were up for grabs this weekend. Of course, this was a National Qualifying Event, so this is a great preparation for that. In the light of competition, your dancing is quite different. Nothing can replace the feel you have waiting for your heat. Moreover, dancing on the big floor under the eyes of judges heightens your movement. Whether strong or weak, your adrenaline will increase these which affect your scores. With this in mind, I am more impressed with those receiving awards. This time was their day when everything came together for them. Indeed they performed as good or better than they had at their practices in the studio. Best of luck at Nationals!

UPDATE – At this time, the photos are now ready to view from the USA Dance Mid-Atlantic Championships! In addition to the photos from the dance floor, there are some photos of the judges, and organizers. Given that they were helpful to us over the weekend, it would have been impossible without them. With this in mind, I made sure to get some photos of them behind the scenes, or off the floor.

In summary, it takes a lot of work by a lot of dedicated people to pull off a competition of this size. However, they did it again this year. This goes for the dancers as well as the organizers. Without the enthusiastic participation from dancers, this competition would not be as notable. For the most part, I believe that they are ready for Nationals!

If you go to the proofing site and have any trouble finding your images, please let me know. Since there are so many folders, it can be a difficult task. I don’t want anyone to be too frustrated, so please reach out to me. Thank you!
