Tysons, Virginia
Last summer, the Plaza at Tysons Corner Center was set up for the 2016 First Responders Day. Vehicles from Fairfax County services populated the Plaza. Officers and firefighters attended in order to show kids and the public to their capabilities. While they were there, the police officers did have the capability to fingerprint kids that were there.
The Fairfax County Ambulance was open in order to show all the gear inside. Given that there was a lot to see, it was a popular stopping point.
A ladder truck from the Fairfax County Fire Department also visited the Plaza. However, they parked on the street below, and extended a ladder above the crowd! Of course it was an attention- getter with fire fighters climbing the length of the ladder high above the Plaza.
Finally, the Fairfax 1 police helicopter landed on the roof of the adjacent garage. The sound of it approaching made it the star of the show!
