Photos from last weekend’s 2016 That’s Dancing Winter Showcase are released at TimeLine Media! Although we had a busy weekend of events, this was a fun way to finish up. To be sure, we have been at this venue before. We have even photographed this event here before. However, the new routines that Carlos and Jackie prepared always keeps the photos fresh. Student Routines

Once you arrive for the winter showcase, Marielle really sets the scene nicely for fun night. Plated dinner for the audience, and a showcase-ready dance floor for the performances. Different from last year, they had a beautiful blue backdrop setup. It provided a nice setting for the colorful dresses. Also, it was a nice staging area for performers to get on and off the stage. With attention to the photos, these are the closest to studio images I have made!

Professional Show

Following dinner and awards, we were treated to a professional show. Emilia Poghosyan and Hyak Balasanyan put on a sharp display of their artistry. Certainly they were technically amazing dancers, but their routines were also FUN! Emphatically, the crowd responded to their performances. Surely they connected with the audience with their engaging, and entertaining dancing.

Finally, I wanted to thank Marielle for inviting us back to her event this year. As well as being a supporter of our photography, she is a wonderful host to the dancers. Similarly to the student showcase routines, the staff incorporated the ‘Fire and Ice’ theme of the evening. Indeed, just looking at the photos of the professionals, we can see the energy from their feet all the way through the tips of their fingers! In addition to the solid dance foundation, these flourishes help to complete the dance forms. With attention to these details, the dancers in the audience had something to bring to their next lesson.
