2018 Baltimore Dancesport Challenge photos Expiring

The photos from last March’s 2018 Baltimore Dancesport Challenge are expiring today at the TimeLine Media proofing site. This was the 10th annual running of this event. The BWI Westin has an easy ballroom for us to setup. With the drive-up entrance to the ballroom, to the easily accessible power, we get up and running quickly. Not to mention, Marielle always gives us a favorable spot in the ballroom. By being in the room where all the dancers are waiting to dance, we have more visitors to the booth. Seeing that we had some good feedback on our work, it helped me do my best. If you were at the event, could you let me know what you think of the photos afterwards? I have not asked after an event, and it may be helpful. Especially since we are clearing out the server now. Fall events, here we come!

2018 Laurie Brand Session

Earlier this month, business coach Laurie Richards contacted me to do a 2018 Brand Session at The Winery at Bull Run. Previously, Laurie came to the studio for updated headshots. Afterwards, she decided that one of the images would be on the cover of her latest book! In short, I was very happy that she enjoyed the photos from her last session.

During this afternoon, we met at the winery to start making some photos around their property. In this case, the setting was beautiful for portraits. The open fields next to the Civil War era buildings made for non-distracting backgrounds that did add some interest for the portraits.

Since it was close to the winery, we made our way to the park at the Manassas Battlefield. In like fashion, the historic open fields were a beautiful backdrop for branding photos. With her blue top, it complimented all the green in the surrounding frame.

Professional Shows

As I posted when we released the photos, we had a great weekend by the dance floor. Even if you were not dancing, the energy of the room was infectious. Particularly the staff of the Arthur Murray studios work very hard these weekends. Not only do they have to coach their students through the heats, but some perform professional shows at the end.

On this occasion we had six excellent shows. Given that these are the final dances of a weekend full of dancing, they are the most memorable. With this in mind, the professionals grab the spotlight and make the most of it!
