2018 2nd Quarter Media

Tysons Corner Center

Over the last couple of months, I completed a number of shoots to capture 2018 2nd Quarter Media at Tysons Corner Center. Surely the mall changes as time goes by both in stores and in advertising. But I never really noticed as closely until now. With all the changes, the Macerich marketing team wanted me to get photos of the special events and temporary retail spaces along with the changes in media.

From a photography standpoint, these kinds of assignments slow me down. Generally in a good way! Of course I would like to have people in the frame so that the clients see a good number of eyes on their media. Additionally, I usually shoot these on a tripod. This keeps the lines straight, and can slow the shutter speed down to get a blur as people walk through the frame.

2018 Summer Showcase photos Released

The photos from last Saturday’s 2018 Summer Showcase are now ready to view! 8600+ photos of the DC Area Arthur Murray studios are available on the TimeLine Media proofing site. In order to make it easier to find your photos, we sorted them by studio. However, there may be some errors in there, so let me know if I need to make some edits. Student Performances

These short routines are the result of months of work in the studio. Although the teachers and students make it look easy, there was a long journey to get here. Since the last event, the staff at these studios worked on these routines. Along the way, there are many decisions to make. Firstly, what dance to do? Then the music, and finally the choreography! The accomplishment to finish is a great goal to achieve!

2018 FADS NJ Team Match photos Expiring

The photos from last January’s 2018 FADS NJ Team Match are expiring! Firstly we have to thank all the support from the dancers that purchased photos. Obviously we could not produce these images without you! Before the photo are archived, you can access them here:

Not only was this our first time at this event, but this was our first time to this part of New Jersey. Although we did get confused driving around as we are originally from Woodbridge, Virginia! However, we felt right at home by the end of the weekend.

The dancing was a really high level from all the participating studios. Various events from competitive heats, showcases, and group formations were danced. Surprisingly the students and staff handled all of these well! I enjoyed the variety of all the events keeping the photos interesting throughout the day. For the final Team Match with Summer Vs. Winter, the studio spirit really came out! To conclude this event with all the dancers in the middle of the floor cheering and dancing was exciting to photograph. The professionals really showed off their talent in an effort to win it all!
