Editing is progressing on the images from last weekend. At first, I worked on the awards lineup. Afterwards all the photos will be posted to the proofing website here when completed:
Why these line up photos first? It is one way that I break up the job of post processing the images. In my Lightroom software, you can separate all the photo by metadata. In this case, I start with images that have one aspect different from all of the others. With this in mind, the lineup photos have a completely different shutter speed from the action photos on the dance floor. So these are selected first for editing from an event.
Stay tuned here on the blog for updates. In the meantime, here are all the photos from the awards. This was in fact the first competition that had a dedicated area for lineups. As can be seen the step and repeat was very wide to accommodate a large group. Since the organizers provided their own light around the area, these photos were easy to make. Enjoy!
