Eye-Opening Session with Successful Businesswomen

Studio Headshots

Overall, I learned many lessons from these successful businesswomen. Being that it is the day after the Labor Day holiday, it is an appropriate posting featuring them. Networking and events in the Tysons area put me in contact, and I was inspired with the passion they have for their work. Of course, I feel the same about my own choice of profession, however, I was energized seeing what drives them in their careers.

Trigger Point Therapist

At first, Julie is a self-described Health and Wellness Geek. In her studio, she sees patients that need help dealing with pain. Since she is an expert in trigger point therapy, she uses these pressure techniques to bring blood flow to specific areas of the body to alleviate pain. She has personal stories of overcoming injuries and having an interest in helping people. Julie is inspired to continue learning and refining her techniques. I hope her headshots convey the empathy she shows towards her clients, and her confidence in her skills to help.

Graphic Designer

Next is Jill from Huemanity Marketing. Following her work with the TEDxTysons group, I immediately saw the impact she can have for branding. While TED has as starting structure, the local organizers needed work when presenting their information to sponsors, venues, and speakers. From learning more about her client list, it is likely that DC-area residents have seen her work. Given that she started her company and now works with some large and influential companies, I am inspired to keep getting better! As a creative company, it can be difficult to know and convey your worth. She does this in such a nice way, I can see why she is so successful!

Tysons Partnership

Finally, Ronit from the Tysons Partnership came in to refresh her professional portrait. In general, traffic is a top issue when development in Tysons in considered. Ronit is the director of the Transit Management Association. She commutes into the area by train, and she lives through the options of getting around town without an automobile. Living through how things are now absolutely helps her to be an advocate for future plans! She let me know about some lesser known areas that car-riders will usually fly past on their way through. I will definitely keep her social accounts on tap as Tysons continues to grow!

Complete Penthouse Project – Judith Weisman Interiors

Bethesda, Maryland

Today’s post looks back at a complete Penthouse project by Judith S Weisman Interiors. While working with other creatives can be stressful to some, I try to be as collaborative as possible. Not only does it make my attitude during an event more pleasant, it helps to bring people together as a team. For me, it makes the photos look much better when I review them later! In this case, Judith was terrific in showing off her work on this amazing home.

In light of the homeowner’s extensive art collection, their viewability was the overall goal of the design. Large open spaces that allowed natural light through. Judith really set the myriad of pieces in the home that gave them their own space to be appreciated.

As can be seen, there was a lot to visually take in. In fact, this looked like a museum set inside a home! Each room had numerous art pieces, but also had seating and other comforts making it a livable space. Being that all the surfaces looked new, I was appreciative of all the details that went into the complete penthouse project. It was a daunting task to document all that had been done. Be that as it may, I can see the collaboration between Judith, the designer, and the homeowner to pull it all together.

Reston, Virginia

Ricardo Noserale of Noserale Home Improvement is another contact I made through networking. Occasionally, you form good working relationships with people you meet through business events, and Ricardo has become a trusted friend that I can depend on. As can be seen in the photos here, and in his work, he is much more than a handyman or contractor. Undeniably, he is a craftsman that takes pride in his work. Of course, I have seen this in work he produces for other clients, but also in my own home!

On this occasion, Ricardo was working on renovating home in Reston. A screened-in porch was removed, and enclosed to make a new living room. While reviewing the plans that he had onsite, it was clear that this was a very large job that required a lot of skills to completely correctly. Given that he has years of experience in commercial and residential projects, Ricardo estimated two months to complete. These days in the middle of the job emphasizes his skills in both planning and construction.

It is a privilege to see experts at work. Since this session, the homeowners are enjoying their large new living room. Ricardo not only is a master at construction, but he cares about how you will live in your home after he leaves. While it can be stressful to have work done in your house, rest assured Ricardo and NHI is a company you can trust to do it right “with no shortcuts”.
