The web server has been especially busy this weekend! Of course we have to thank everyone that has visited to view the photos from the DC Area Arthur Murray Fall Freestyles. There has been lots of views, and we especially appreciate everyone that has placed orders for prints and digital downloads. Swing Professional Show
We love to feature the professional showcases that close out these events on the blog. The floor is cleared of all dancers, and the attention of all the students, staff, judges, and guests are on the instructors that have worked to put together a routine to show off their best! In full disclosure, we are biased. We first started learning to ballroom dance at the Arthur Murray in Tysons Corner, and we have learned so much from the instructors that have worked there. This show by Carlos and Allison was amazing, and we wanted to get up and dance right after them! The Swing was “The Heart of Rock and Roll” by Huey Lewis and the News. A great song, and a great routine.

Comparatively, I learn so much about my shooting and setup in looking at the differences. I will blog more about this in future posts, but selfishly, I’m just happy to be able to watch the entire thing without looking through the viewfinder the whole time! It is a different experience live, in still photos, and on video, and I enjoyed comparing each.
