The photos from the 2018 Spring Freestyles have been released! The DC Area Arthur Murray event from last weekend is now ready to view. Finally we have finished editing and sorting the 9300+ photos from the weekend:

Please share the link with anyone that attended. Seeing that we had plenty of photos from all the studios, I think this was a nice collection. Indeed we tried to sort everyone by studio. However, there may be some mistakes in there. Please let me know and I’ll correct them asap!

Like the previous Fall Freestyles, we filled the large ballroom at the Hilton McLean in Tysons. On this occasion students danced the Smooth heats on Friday. Following that, they danced Rhythm heats on Saturday morning to the afternoon. Saturday evening brought the Club One Dance competition back. As can be seen in some of the photos, these were popular! In contrast to the syllabus heats, the dancers cut loose a little more – all in good fun.

The photos from last September’s 2017 Fall Freestyles are expiring. Now that we have a new year of events planned, we need to move these to the archive. Professional Shows

At this time, there was another set of great shows to cap this event! In contrast to most other times, I positioned myself in a different part of room. On this occasion we had professionals from the Tysons studio dancing in the show. Prior to the start of the show, I asked where would be the best place for me to sit. Of course, I was looking to get great photos of all the shows. However, we see them every week, and I did not want to miss anything great due to location! From these photos, I think they gave me some good advice.

Holiday Routines

On this occasion, the date for this event dipped into December. By contrast to the summer event, we are in the thick of the holiday season. With this in mind, it makes sense for Christmas-themed routines. In case you did not know, red and green are rendered very well on digital cameras. Who knew that Santa was perfect for photos? Congratulations to everyone that danced their routines last week! In case you cannot find your photos, please let me know. In general, we have the photos sorted by studio. However, we may have misfiled some. Enjoy!
