We were invited again to cover the 2017 That’s Dancing Winter Showcase! It has been a year since we have been at the Sheraton in Columbia, MD for this event. On this occasion, the theme was ‘Christmas Around the World’. As long as they are up, they will be found at this site:

Student Routines

Carlos and Jackie put together some great routines for this show. As can be seen in the photos, they were prepared well! All the numbers were done nicely, and the crowd appreciated it.

Thinking back to school, I remember giving oral reports in front of the class. With this in mind, I know the pressure to perform these routines. Not only is it difficult to remember the steps, but the nerves do not help. Surely it is harder to dance in front of your friends than strangers! So I appreciate everyone that signed up to dance. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Holiday Routines

On this occasion, the date for this event dipped into December. By contrast to the summer event, we are in the thick of the holiday season. With this in mind, it makes sense for Christmas-themed routines. In case you did not know, red and green are rendered very well on digital cameras. Who knew that Santa was perfect for photos? Congratulations to everyone that danced their routines last week! In case you cannot find your photos, please let me know. In general, we have the photos sorted by studio. However, we may have misfiled some. Enjoy!

2017 Destin Open photos Released

We have a new event on the website! The photos from the 2017 Destin Open have been released on the TimeLine Media proofing site. Of course this is the farthest we have traveled for an event in a while! Not only did we drive, but we took a train to get to Destin, Florida. Not only did we get photos of dancers on the floor, we also had a step-and-repeat banner set up. Additionally to a fun weekend, Tom provided free photos for all participants! If you would like to download your photos, here is the link to them:

At the end of the event Tom arranged for a concert in the next ballroom over! Compared to the relatively tense dancing for the judges, the concert had a completely free social dancing time. Great first time at this competition for us – thanks for inviting us!
