Last Saturday, we photographed the 2016 DC Dance Challenge. Although we were at a new venue, the Westin Alexandria, the room was excellent for photos! After all the dancing, we edited and sorted the photos by numbers worn by gentlemen. To see all the photos, here is the link:
Thank you to Jennifer Bonini for having us cover her event again this year! Previously we have photographed the DC Dance Challenge in many other venues in the area. In addition to staff from Forever Dancing ballroom, they ran a smooth event. Eventually, we will get a list of the award winners from this event. For instance, Top Bronze Student, Top Studio, etc. Then I will make some nice plaques labeled with the awards and one of their images. Be on the lookout for those soon!
The photos from the last weekend’s 2016 Fall Freestyles event from the DC Area Arthur Murray studios are released at the TimeLine Media proofing site! Compared to their last meeting, this was a crowded event in the ballroom. Of course everyone was in the same ballroom this time, but attendance felt higher. This week, we have edited and sorted the photos by studio. With this in mind, please let me know if I made any mistakes! Here is the link:
This time, I had some great help from my photographer friends. It would be impossible for me to cover all the heats all weekend, so I am thankful for the help! Obviously, we would like to thank the studio owners and managers that prepared the dancers for their heats all weekend!
Tomorrow, the photos from the 2016 Baltimore Dancesport Challenge are expiring from the TimeLine Media proofing site. Before they are removed and archived, please share the link! Following our last post, traffic was up at the proofing site:
Following dinner and awards, we were treated to a professional show. Emilia Poghosyan and Hyak Balasanyan put on a sharp display of their artistry. Certainly they were technically amazing dancers, but their routines were also FUN! Emphatically, the crowd responded to their performances. Surely they connected with the audience with their engaging, and entertaining dancing.
Finally, I wanted to thank Marielle for inviting us back to her event this year. As well as being a supporter of our photography, she is a wonderful host to the dancers. Indeed it is easy to see why this event grows in participation every year. Lastly, thanks to everyone that viewed and purchase photos from this event!
