Finally, thanks again to Amanda and Ilya Reyzin for inviting us back this year. Above all they were gracious hosts to us as well as the dancers. Despite taking some room inside the ballroom, they let us set up our booth inside the event space. Since we were inside where all the action was, we had a lot of traffic to the booth which translated to website visits. Thank you!

Similarly to the student showcase routines, the staff incorporated the ‘Fire and Ice’ theme of the evening. Indeed, just looking at the photos of the professionals, we can see the energy from their feet all the way through the tips of their fingers! In addition to the solid dance foundation, these flourishes help to complete the dance forms. With attention to these details, the dancers in the audience had something to bring to their next lesson.

Tysons, Virginia Ballroom

The Hilton McLean in Tysons, VA was the venue for this event. Since they have settled in on this location for the last couple of year, setup was easier for us. Following our setup from the last time, our photography lighting setup still worked for the first Arthur Murray event of the year.

Thank you to all of the Arthur Murray dancers and staff. Surely this was not the normal setup for a Freestyles event all being on one day. In this situation, the floor seemed more crowded, and the schedule compressed. However, everyone made the best of it, and I was pleased with the photos!
