Paragon Open photos released!

©TimeLine Media - Paragon Open photos released

The proofing website has finished processing the web pages for the 2013 Paragon Open! All of the photos have been categorized by the man’s number, but there were a few that I could not identify. There were 24 couples that I did not find their number, so they are listed at the end of the collection as PO-XX. They are still separated to each have their own category to make it a little easier to find.

This looked like another great day of dancing! It is more of a challenge for me to categorize these since I was not there personally. I hope to have a schedule that lets me cover this, but another great photographer, Mario, took time to travel and cover this for me. He uses a similar setup and camera, so it is easy to edit these photos in post to look as good as we can. Thank you to everyone that has already visited the site since they were released last evening. I have started to work on getting your orders to the lab already.

Thanks to Andrei Gavriline and Elena Kryuchkova for having TimeLine Media cover this event for them. We hope you and the dancers from the event enjoy the photos. Hopefully, I can make it up in person next time, but it is nice to know we have colleagues that can cover these events for us. Finishing Events

©TimeLine Media - 2013 Paragon Open - finishing edits

I am finishing edits and upload of the 2013 Paragon Open photos. They will be available to view by tomorrow morning at the latest. Although I was not there in person for the competition, these images were very nicely done! On this occasion I wish I could have seen all the amazing performances in person.

If you are on the mailing list, or you like the TimeLine Media Facebook page, I will post on those two places as soon as they are ready to view. You can get on the mailing list by filling out the form at the bottom of the blog page, or by signing up at the Paragon Open event at the photo proofing site.

I want to thank Mario Brathwaite, a photography colleague of mine that was able to cover this event for us. He has covered lots of other events with us, and I trust him to get more great images of ballroom dancers when I cannot be there myself. He made some great images from this event, and I am anxious to share them with you! The finishing line is within site, so please bear with me just a little longer.

Arthur Murray – at the New Jersey State Open

©TimeLine Media - Arthur Murray at the New Jersey State Open

When you travel far from home for work, it is always nice to see familiar Arthur Murray faces. Going to the New Jersey State Open is always a privilege to photograph because of the quality of the competition organization, and the dancing all weekend. During the professional competitions, it was really nice to see studios that brought a large contingent of students with them to cheer them on! Of course the crowd is always more excited when the professionals are twirling and moving quickly up and down the floor, but this element was reminiscent of our local events. It really upped the enthusiasm, and their dancers really responded!

I did get photos of all the dancers on the floor since they were all making some nice lines on the floor. But I did yell for our local favorites from the Arthur Murray in Silver Spring, MD!

There were a couple of favorites from the Arthur Murray studios in New Jersey. They came sporting their studio jackets, and always had a lot of support for their students and instructors when they were on the floor.

It was so nice to see them show off their skills on a big stage! We hope to see all of them at another competition soon. It is not difficult to find good photos when they are on the floor.
