2016 Fall Showcase Expiring

The photos are expiring from the 2016 Fall Showcase of the DC Area Arthur Murray studios. The TimeLine Media proofing server needs to make some room for new events. Professional Shows

We had another outstanding set of performances by the staff of all the studios! Similarly there was a mix of music and styles over these performances. Not only is this a display of skill for the dancers, but it great marketing for them! Obviously, it is great marketing for me as well. Moreover I love editing these photos. Usually we think of them as not having nerves throughout the day. If they are nervous for these shows, they are great at hiding it! Sometime more to work on!

The photos from last weekend’s DC Area Arthur Murray 2017 Spring Freestyles have been released at the TimeLine Media proofing site! Although we had almost 10000 photos posted from the event, we have them all sorted by studio. Of course, there are likely some mistakes in there. Please let me know so I can get that corrected! Hilton Mclean Ballroom

To end the event on Saturday, they added a new set of dances compared to their usual Freestyles lineup. Direct competition is usually not an emphasis at these events for the local Arthur Murray studios. However, they have added a Club 2 Dance event. From what I saw this had a little less formal attire for the dancers similar to what they would wear at a social dancing club. Second, the style and feel that the dancers presented was more of an emphasis than technical figures. As a result, this allowed another side of the dancers to come out! It made for some different photos from the students with their teachers.

Last week, we went to the BWI area of Maryland to cover the 2017 Baltimore Dancesport Challenge. After the week of editing and sorting, I have posted the collection of photos at the TimeLine Media proofing site. To clarify, the photos have been sorted by the gentleman’s number worn in heats. Thanks to Marielle Pabon for having us cover her event again this year. She has been a big supporter of our work for years. Likewise, we attempt to get good marketing photos for her competition during the event. The way she sets up the ballroom makes that an easy job. For one thing, there is a beautiful dark blue curtain behind the dais. Having it just in that section, keeps the rest of the room open making it less confining than other setups we have attended. As can be seen in the above photo, the attendance was high for this event! The award break emphasized that. We hope you enjoy the images, and thank you for sharing them around!
