Today we do Day 2 of the 2013 New Jersey State Open. We had a great day yesterday covering the first day. The heats were very smoothly run throughout the day even though we did not have many long breaks in the action. The judges, organizers, and emcee kept things running early for most of the day. We have another good collection of photos so far, and we are ready to make more today. Stay tuned for updates on when they will be ready to view sometime next weekend. Thank you!

This is my best hope at this time for the timeline. Of course, we still have to finish all our coverage today. Afterwards we need to travel home before starting the post processing of all the images. Of course we will sort the photos by gentlemen’s number. Being that we are more familiar with the dancers, this should not take that long. If you have any special need to have images earlier, please let me know. At this point, I have already had some requests. As soon as I can get you photos, I will accommodate them. Thank you!

We have safely made it to Atlantic City! This weekend is the 2013 New Jersey State Open. We have two full days of dancing ahead of us. All of the lights and cameras are setup, so we are ready to go as of 6:30AM on Friday. It is a 7AM start on both days, so you can watch all day if you are in the area. The venue is the Grand Ballroom of the Golden Nugget – Atlantic City, and I think the dancers will enjoy the setting. We will have plenty of pictures to share from the weekend to be sure! This weekend is the 2013 New Jersey State Open! We are excited about going back to Atlantic City to cover this event. The organizers have run a smooth competition over the 3 years we have photographed the dancers that have competed there. Each year, there is a growth in the amount of entries and this year is the largest one yet! Dancing will start at 7AM on both Friday and Saturday. So it will be an earlier start than expected for everyone attending.

Please come introduce yourself to us at the photography table. If you will be doing any special choreography, let me know so that I can be sure to look out for the best angle to capture it. I will be looking out over everyone on the floor, but will be more aware if you let me know of anything special. I may be able to help you get the best angle by telling you where my lights will be setup for the best look.

On Saturday evening, there will be more than just professional competition on the floor. There will be some other entertainers performing for the audience, and I think you will enjoy what the organizers have planned. Last year, a juggler and rhythm gymnast also performed in between the pro heats, and they were received well by guests. Come see the action this weekend!
