The photos from last weekend’s 2017 River City Ballroom Dance Competition are available at the TimeLine Media proofing site! It has already been a year since the last time we went south for our annual visit. Veronica and Lee have a beautiful studio in Richmond, Virginia. Their event was held there on Saturday. River City Ballroom Dance Competition photos at TimeLine Media
Although we have been covering their event for years, this is the first time we have been to their studio! While they have one large practice ballroom at the entrance, they recently expanded. During the event, this was a perfect check-in and getting-ready area for the competition. Following the start of the competition, their larger ballroom was transformed. That is this part had the music director, emcee, judges, and a large dance space. Photographing here was a good experience owing to the fact that they were accommodating. Moreover since this was their space, the organizers were flexible with the setup. With this in mind, I setup 3 strobes around the room.
