November is the start of the holiday shopping season! Although we are still more Thanksgiving that Christmas, they started the 2016 #imwithsanta events in Tysons Corner Center and surrounding areas. In the same fashion as last year, Santa visited stores and events to start spreading the holiday cheer.
#imwithsanta 2016
Because Santa is so popular on social media, the hashtag #imwishsanta trended in Tysons! With all of his sightings, this was popular to keep up with where he was in the area. As much as he was approached, he accommodated younger and older with some time. Following a sighting, it was impossible not to get a little more excited for Christmas!
Last weekend, we photographed the 2016 Fall Showcase for the DC Area Arthur Murray studios. Being a few months since our last event at the McLean Hilton, we are very familiar setting up here. Although we were in two different rooms, we covered the choreographed routines all day. Now that the photos have been edited and sorted, we have them at this link:
Without delay, we had to get through all the routines quickly today. It was another Sunday event in Tysons. Not only were there the usual Spotlights and Routines, we also had group formations. For the end of the Pro-Am section, there was a large All-Around competition! At all the levels, dancers filled the dance floor. As a result, it took us a little longer to sort the photos. While we are very familiar with the staff at the studios, we may have made some mistakes. We’ll correct them as soon as you let us know!
Next Monday, the photos from the 2016 Summer Showcase are expiring at the TimeLine Media proofing site. Shortly, we will need the space on the server for more dance events this fall. So, this will be the last chance to see these photos until the holidays. Please share the link below with anyone that may like to see your photos from this event:
On this occasion, the McLean Hilton in Tysons, VA was decorated in a Country Western theme. Of course this fit in well with the Western dance routines. Moreover, the professional shows tied in the theme as well! To illustrate, here are some photos with the costumes, and the sets that decorated to tie in to the theme.
Overall, the routines were a lot of fun! Not to mention the mix of group formations and single couples dancing made for a nice combination. Also, the backgrounds that climbed to the ceiling completed the look!
