LUSH Interior Design

Alexandria, Virginia

I photographed a completed kitchen and bath project for LUSH interior design at a home in Alexandria. Since this was my first time working with Emilie, I was anxious about creating great images for her. Luckily, as soon as I saw her completed projects, I knew it would be great. Above all, her design for this kitchen and bathroom was amazing! Compared to the ‘before’ images that she showed me, these two rooms are more modern, light and airy. Going with that vibe, I had an objective for these photos.

When going to the bathroom, I could see beautiful materials and fixtures that were chosen for the space. The dark blue cabinet really balanced against the white tiles on the floors and walls. From a photography standpoint, I wanted to convey how airy and spacious the room felt. Walking in from a dark bathroom was a big contrast in light. It is easy to see how this talented designer transforms rooms to be more modern, functional, and beautiful!

Tysons Tower Club

The Tysons Chamber held the 2019 Tysons 2050 this week at the McLean Hilton in short to envision the future. Being a signature event for the Chamber, a lot of work went into this evening to demonstrate the reach of the Chamber. Not only were there 3 different panels of speakers, but the atrium had a technology expo with area companies presenting. Similarly to previous years, Live, Work, and Play panels spoke in the ballroom. Given that some large projects were recently approved, there was a buzz in the room. Visions of 2050 were already in motion at the present time!

Networking

Prior to the start of the panel presentations, there was plenty of time for networking. Given that making connections is the main goal of the Chamber, this achieved that end. Equally important to the panel photos is seeing how and where people make business connections. Afterwards I sent these images to the marketing committee. On this occasion there was plenty to showcase why people should join.

2019 Tysons 2050

Since I could not make last year’s event, this was a new setup for me. Although I have been in this ballroom many times for dance events, this was a new physical layout. Thus I knew where to setup lights so I could make some better images in this dark room!

2019 Tysons Tailgate – Tysons Partnership

Valo Park, McLean, VA

Last month, I photographed the 2019 Tysons Tailgate at Valo Park. Since it was the 4th annual edition, the Tysons Partnership team put together another well-attended and fun event! Compared to the downpour that dampened some of the spirits last year, they had amazing autumn weather for an evening outside.

2019 Tysons Tailgate

In case you have not seen my previous events for the Tysons Partnership, know that I enjoy working for them. Of course they have some of the most well-attended Tysons events. Also, their members enjoy having their photos taken, and they come to events wanting to build the next great city. Moreover the Tysons Partnership team works very well together. Although you cannot see in these photos, there were some big challenges to overcome this evening. With little time to come up with solutions, they pulled it off while not letting it show on their faces. It only makes me want to work harder to show off their efforts with awesome photos!
