DC Dance Challenge

Since we were coming back to the Westin in Alexandria, we had a similar setup to last year. Jennifer Bonini setup the ballroom very nicely again this year! Along with the warm stadium lighting that was brought in, the ballroom had a soft glow for the event. For this reason, we had an easy setup for photos. Comparatively to other ballrooms, their tall ceilings meant the lights were as high as I could get them!

Professional Shows

Guadalupe Garcia and Junior Cervila capped the event with a professional show. Even if you do not know anything about Tango, you would enjoy these dancers! I would know seeing that I have a small understanding myself. In order to keep up with these two was a fun challenge! On one hand they have beautiful lines that always face the audience. Also, they have such short, quick movements that are so sharp, they really need your attention.

Finally, thanks one more time to Jennifer Bonini! With her two-day event, she is always running around keeping things going. As can be seen, the attendance grows every year, and we look to seeing them again in 2019!

Professional Shows

Sheena Daminar and Jungie Zamora danced an amazing show to finish the event! Not only did they win the top studio for the event, but they capped it off with their showcase. When it comes to emoting through dancing, these two are excellent. In combination with their music selections, they have a powerful connection to their performance. Moreover, their athleticism shows off their technical abilities!
