Well, I am definitely not in mid-season form. It is a new year of ballroom dance events for us, and I am just out of practice in photo editing. It will take me a little longer to get the photos from last weekend’s Mid-Atlantic Championships uploaded to the website.

I am estimating that they will all be ready to view by Monday. Without a doubt, I want there to be a technical issue for the delay, but I am just working slow this time. So, I know that I said that this weekend they would be ready, but it will take another day. Stay tuned to this blog for updates – I’ll be going back to editing. Thank you!

UPDATE! The photos from the Mid-Atlantic Championships are now ready to view! At this time, I have sorted all of the images by gentlemen’s number. However, there is a large number of folders up there for this event. For this reason, please reach out to me if you need any help finding your photos. I know there was a lot of work that went into your preparation. You should be able to see how awesome you looked out there!

I am still going through the bulk of the photos from the weekend. At this time, I want to post the awards lineups for the Championship categories that were danced. Overall, there were so many Championships that were up for grabs this weekend. Of course, this was a National Qualifying Event, so this is a great preparation for that. In the light of competition, your dancing is quite different. Nothing can replace the feel you have waiting for your heat. Moreover, dancing on the big floor under the eyes of judges heightens your movement. Whether strong or weak, your adrenaline will increase these which affect your scores. With this in mind, I am more impressed with those receiving awards. This time was their day when everything came together for them. Indeed they performed as good or better than they had at their practices in the studio. Best of luck at Nationals!
