2013 USA Dance Mid-Atlantic Championships

The dancing is done at the 2013 USA Dance Mid-Atlantic Championships. Concurrently, I am back in the studio editing all the photos from the weekend. I have over 14000 images to go through, and in brief we will try to categorize them by number. Stay tuned to the blog, Facebook page, or sign up on the email list on the website to get updates:

Saturday is what I am aiming to finish, but if there are any delays, I will post them here. Thanks to everyone that stopped by the booth,or saw the large projection slideshow of our favorites so far! We had a fun and productive time at the competition. During the weekend, I tested some new techniques, and tried to get more dynamic ballroom dance images. We want to thank the Mid Eastern Chapter of USA Dance for another successful event, and we hope to be invited back again next year. Thanks again!

UPDATE – At this time, the photos are now ready to view from the USA Dance Mid-Atlantic Championships! In addition to the photos from the dance floor, there are some photos of the judges, and organizers. Given that they were helpful to us over the weekend, it would have been impossible without them. With this in mind, I made sure to get some photos of them behind the scenes, or off the floor.

In summary, it takes a lot of work by a lot of dedicated people to pull off a competition of this size. However, they did it again this year. This goes for the dancers as well as the organizers. Without the enthusiastic participation from dancers, this competition would not be as notable. For the most part, I believe that they are ready for Nationals!

If you go to the proofing site and have any trouble finding your images, please let me know. Since there are so many folders, it can be a difficult task. I don’t want anyone to be too frustrated, so please reach out to me. Thank you!
