HO HO HO – it is time for the 2017 Santa Breakfast! Last week Santa arrived by train at the 3rd level food court for his annual breakfast. Darik from 94.7 Fresh FM was there to announce all the events throughout the morning. Those Funny Little People also came to perform a show with Santa at his set. As can be seen in the photos, many people came for the breakfast, and stayed to get a moment with Santa. Similarly to last year, the line to see him was very long! Indeed, I did my best to get photos as quickly as I could. To see all the photos from the event, please go to the Tysons Corner Center Facebook page. You can download all of your favorites from there.
Last week we covered the 2017 Fall Showcase in Tysons. We photographed all the routines from all the Arthur Murray DC studios. We have posted over 7800 photos from last Saturday here:
Please share the link with any of your studio mates or friends. Of course we would appreciate your support of our photography with purchases. Not only are prints offered, but digital files are as well.
Holiday Routines
On this occasion, the date for this event dipped into December. By contrast to the summer event, we are in the thick of the holiday season. With this in mind, it makes sense for Christmas-themed routines. In case you did not know, red and green are rendered very well on digital cameras. Who knew that Santa was perfect for photos? Congratulations to everyone that danced their routines last week! In case you cannot find your photos, please let me know. In general, we have the photos sorted by studio. However, we may have misfiled some. Enjoy!
Last month, I photographed David Cook at the 2017 Christmas Tree Lighting at Tysons Corner Center. Of course Santa was also there along with a crew from 97.1 WASH-FM. Without a doubt, this event was geared to jump start the holiday shopping season, and the music, lights, and Santa put it into high gear. Performing on his guitar, David played holiday selections and some of his familiar hits that made this American Idol famous.
Santa HQ
After the event on the Plaza was finished, David and Santa went to his set inside the mall. Shortly afterwards, some fans came to a short meet and greet. While we were there, I did get a chance to tell David that he is popular in the ballroom dance world. Specifically many of his songs translate well to Viennese Waltz tracks during competition heats. Hopefully he was not too scared off by my out-of-left-field tidbit – lol!
