Tysons Tower Club

The Tysons Chamber held the 2018 Summer Soiree last month at the Tysons Tower Club. In the hope that they can highlight the non-profit organizations in the area, this new signature event was created. Prior to the formal event, a networking reception was held in the atrium surrounded by booths of the highlighted non-profits. Once guests started to arrive, the room was a buzz with conversations! At this time Tysons business owners visiting their booths heard more about their missions.

Community Awards

With attention to highlighting businesses in Tysons, the Chamber gave out awards for specific categories. Generally these businesses are influential in the growing the visitbility of the area -Tysons Biergarten, TEDxTysons, Capitol One, 1st Stage, etc. These companies are shaping the future of Tysons! Above all, having them attend helps members and guests to make ‘Connections that Matter’.

Arconic Fairfax HQ

Tysons Tower Club

Ealier this year, I covered the Arconic Fairfax HQ announcement at the Tower Club in Tysons. The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority planned for some good photos due to the guest list. Regardless of political views, it is a privilege to photograph a sitting governor. On this occasion, he was announcing the agreement with manufacturing company Arconic. Shortly they will relocate their headquarters to Fairfax County. Since this is was a deal that involved many high level government entities, this event was a milestone attended by many VIPs. Dr. Jerry Gordon from the FCEDA, Supervisors, State Delegates, and lastly the Governor of the Commonwealth came to speak.

Food & – TEDxTysons

Last month, I photographed another event at 1st Stage – Food & – a TEDxTysons salon. In like fashion, this was a new venue for me to photograph. I emphatically appreciate the opportunity that Ashwood, Stacy, and Josh have given me in covering their events! Not only are they a fun photographic challenge, but it is a privilege to be in the room for these talks.

Speakers – Food & – TEDxTysons

Similar to other salons in spaces that are purpose-built for productions, this was a great venue for photos. Even though the theater lights can look painfully bright, cameras will take as much light as they can take! Moreover 1st Stage is built with a staircase through the middle of the room.
