Since last year, this event has grown in participation! Studios from all around the nation come to visit DC. Moreover, the reception that Forever Dancing gives them really sets the weekend. With attention to both dancing, and sightseeing in our Nation’s Capital, this competition is unique. By comparison, some events in the area never get out of the ballroom! With the Bonini’s fostering a shared experiences with their guests, it makes this a great event to attend every October!
The 2019 Fall Freestyles photos are expiring soon! Given that we have new 2020 events coming online, we need to make room on the server. To be sure our record-setting Freestyles takes a lot of space! Thanks to everyone that purchase holiday gifts from the site. Before they are archived, the photos will be here:
During the professional competition, I was tense! as I have noted, these are not as good for my photos compared to the shows. On this occasion, there seemed to be more competitors than usual. Because of that fact, it was difficult to get photos of everyone. For fear that I would miss, I tried to capture one photo of a couple, then move on. It was a bit frantic, and I was unsure if I was getting anything good.
For the Rhythm heats, I changed my position. By comparison there would not be as much chance to see everyone. By elevating my position above the crowd, I was assured of a clearer path to the floor. In short, I think I covered it, but I know I could have done better!
Last week, I photographed the 2020 JA Trade Show at Tysons Corner Center. Since both Tysons Corner Center and Brandbox sponsored the show, they had a nice showcase this Sunday morning. Overall, I was impressed with the work that these student teams put into their entrepreneurial projects. During this show, they were debuting their companies and products for sale to the public.
While walking through the trade show, I was impressed with the professionalism of the teams. Over a six-month period, the team worked further with business professionals to form a build a startup. With this in mind I could not imagine how difficult this would be to do over this amount of time. Perhaps some of these products will return to a future location in the mall!
