2018 Baltimore Dancesport Challenge photos Expiring

The photos from last March’s 2018 Baltimore Dancesport Challenge are expiring today at the TimeLine Media proofing site. This was the 10th annual running of this event. Much like a tech company saying that their new gizmo is the fastest made. This year was the 10th and best ever! To see all the photos before they are archived, click the link below:

The BWI Westin has an easy ballroom for us to setup. With the drive-up entrance to the ballroom, to the easily accessible power, we get up and running quickly. Not to mention, Marielle always gives us a favorable spot in the ballroom. By being in the room where all the dancers are waiting to dance, we have more visitors to the booth. Seeing that we had some good feedback on our work, it helped me do my best. If you were at the event, could you let me know what you think of the photos afterwards? I have not asked after an event, and it may be helpful. Especially since we are clearing out the server now. Fall events, here we come!

2018 FADS NJ Team Match photos Expiring

Not only was this our first time at this event, but this was our first time to this part of New Jersey. Although we did get confused driving around as we are originally from Woodbridge, Virginia! However, we felt right at home by the end of the weekend.

The dancing was a really high level from all the participating studios. Various events from competitive heats, showcases, and group formations were danced. Surprisingly the students and staff handled all of these well! I enjoyed the variety of all the events keeping the photos interesting throughout the day. For the final Team Match with Summer Vs. Winter, the studio spirit really came out! To conclude this event with all the dancers in the middle of the floor cheering and dancing was exciting to photograph. The professionals really showed off their talent in an effort to win it all!

Thanks again for Nadia for inviting us to her event. We enjoyed the opportunity to show what we can do to a new audience. Best of luck!

Marielle invited me back to cover their studio event, and some new developments for That’s Dancing. Because of a leak that damaged their floor earlier in the year, they have a new dance floor! Undeniably having a nice surface for dancing is essential for a studio. Now their space is ready for events as well practice.

If the costumes and make up look a bit strange, it is important to realize the Showcase theme. Superheroes tied all the dance numbers together obviously in the dress, but also in the music. Modern movie soundtracks consequently give inspiration through music tracks perfect for dancing!
